Ryan's Senior Session

It's beginning to look like senior season!  So far, I've done three senior sessions but it's still early.  I anticipate having a busy schedule with seniors this year and I am looking forward to it!  My latest session features Ryan.  We had a blast shooting in historic Locust Grove and these images prove it.  Clean-cut, cool and classic are the words that come to mind with Ryan's style.  A passer-by couldn't resist commenting on Ryan's spiffy look as he posed for the camera.  Ryan, thanks for a great portrait session - enjoy!

Xavier - Luella Middle 6th Grade Band

Last week I had the pleasure of attending a concert featuring Luella Middle School's 6th grade band.  My friend's son Xavier plays the tuba so of course my camera and I were ready to capture the performance.  I hadn't attended a school band performance like this in quite some time, and it was nice to see that Luella Middle incorporates music education into their curriculum.  Three groups of instruments were represented in the band: woodwinds, percussion and brass.  The kids seemed so excited and eager to showcase their talents to the vast audience of parents, family, friends and faculty, many of whom were armed with cameras and camcorders.  The band performed about six short, familiar pieces like Mary Had A Little Lamb, and Frere Jaques.  After the last piece the audience showered the band with a well deserved round of applause.  Then it was photo op time!  The band was so large that a group shot was nearly impossible, so the kids stood section by section to allow for better snapshots to be taken.  Xavier was certainly looking forward to his photo ops, especially during the performance.  You can tell because in most of his shots, his eyes were right on my camera!  To Xavier and his band mates, job well done!

Welcoming Baby Christen

I was cleaning out an old camera bag when I came across an unidentified 2 gig memory card.  This card had to have been at least a year old because it has been that long since I used this particular bag.  I couldn't remember what pictures (if any) would be on the card so I popped it into the card reader on my laptop and to my surprise, there appeared pictures from a friend's baby shower.  I had completely forgotten about these pictures somehow, but I'm so glad that they finally resurfaced because it was such a lovely shower.  It was held at a quaint little spot called City Cafe & Bakery in beautiful Fayetteville, GA. The food was great and the pastries were amazing! Princess Christen is now 10 months old and is as beautiful as can be.  I can't wait to get these photos to our friends - I'm sure they'll be surprised to see them as much as I was when I found them!

Christen's dad is Haitian, so what better color to paint her room with?
