Paine College Coronation '10 - Augusta, GA

I attended the Coronation Ceremony at Paine College last weekend.  My friend asked me to come along to shoot the event because her daughter, who is a freshman was being crowned Miss Jackson Hall.  The ceremony was held in Gilbert-Lambuth Memorial Chapel and was decorated with a modern, Japanese theme.  There were many courts introduced, including a few from other schools like Benedict College.  All the ladies participating wore beautiful gowns and their escorts wore equally attractive tuxedos.  It was a classy event with lots of wonderful entertainment from singing to acting to dance routines.  I especially enjoyed the introduction and crowning of the newly elected Mr. & Miss Paine College.  Such an event usually presents with rather challenging lighting conditions.  Despite that, I still managed to capture some really great images that I hope you'll enjoy!
