This year we decided to stay home for the holidays, and what a good decision that turned out to be considering the hellish winter weather that crippled most of the country. I felt for the thousands of travelers stranded at airports, hotels and some even in their cars on snow-covered highways. It's nice to spend the holidays abroad, or with family out-of-state, but there's nothing like being in the comforts of your own warm, cozy home with your own family. We had a house-full this Christmas and as every year, a great time was had. The best part for me was watching Mel opening her gifts, of course! Honorable mention goes to my cousin Gregory who received his first DSLR - a Canon Rebel T2i (I won't hold the Canon thing against him). Here are a few pics from Christmas day that I hope you'll enjoy!

The Dalrymple Family
I was so excited when Viviene, an old family friend decided to spend Thanksgiving this year with me and my family. Whenever we see each other, it's usually while I'm visiting Miami, but this was the first time we've seen each other on my turf here in Atlanta. Her four daughters made the trip as well, so along with my daughter, husband and mother, we had a full house! I've photographed her daughters before, but this time I included mom and made it an official family portrait session! Coming from South Florida, you can imagine how they reacted to a high temperature of 42 degrees! Oh yeah, it was very cold and windy, and everyone had frozen fingers (including me) though you could never tell by those warm, bright smiles! Thank you to the Dalrymples for a lovely Thanksgiving and for a fabulous portrait session!
