Mulan - Halloween 2011

I've never really been into Halloween, but now that Mel is getting older I think my feelings have changed. I purchased a boat load of candy (the good stuff) yesterday so we're ready for the Trick or Treaters! Last year Mel was Princess Tiana/Ballerina Fairy - pretty typical costumes for little girls these days. This year's costume had to be different - something that stands out from the crowd. I couldn't resist this costume with it's vivid colors and striking pattern. The accessories that came with it were just too cute. I happened to have a pair of chopsticks that were the finishing touch to the outfit. So, without further adieu, check out Mel as Disney's Mulan!

Sole Prophecy - Morehouse College Homecoming 2011

As usual, good times were had during festivities at this year's Morehouse College Homecoming. The energy was high, the people were beautiful and the mood was victorious. Tailgating was a sure win with all the good food and great music. I'm a huge old-school head, so kudos to all the tents who rocked Peter Piper, Saturday Love, Rock With You and Shorty Swing My Way - I'm still singing! The icing on the cake was the amazing yet narrow win against the Tigers of Benedict College. Congrats to the Maroon Tigers for pulling off that unexpected 2-point conversion - great play! During half-time the Psi Chapter of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc. presented Morehouse College with a donation of $100,000! Gotta shout out the House of Funk - they played so beautiful, don't you agree? It's hard to believe another year has past already since last year's homecoming. I'm sure another year will fly by just as quickly, if not quicker. Here's to that old Morehouse spirit - Enjoy!
